Just a while back we got a shout-out from Jane at Sleeklens asking us if we would like to test their Lightroom presets in our event post-processing, and then write a review about it . Firstly we were not so drawn to the idea but we’ve just shot a wedding for some friends and we thought it would be great to try something different, editing wise. We reached out to Jane and told her we would give it a try and see what happens. She was very responsive and we received the presets the next day.
We imported the presets set into Lightroom and the first thing that caught my eye was the good structure and the numerous black&white presets, 12 of them. I (Sergiu) love B&W photography, I love the drama these pictures have and the fact that you don’t need the colours to trasmit the emotions in a certain picture.
Our friends ended up having a lot of black and white photographs. 🙂 Here are some demos:
The Presets we used are: Forever Thine | 11 – Wedding Black&White : Stardust, Sharm, Repulsion, Old School, Ivory.
Because we couldn’t leave all the pictures black & white, we edited some colorful ones too. 🙂
We used most of the “All in one” presets because they bring the subject forward and give you a warm and pleasant feeling. We also used a lot of “Wedding Fashion” and “Wedding Matte” presets because they offer that nice vintage look.
Here are some examples:
As a conclusion, we loved the presets, we loved that there’s a good variety of presets in this set, you can cover any type of wedding photography with it and it helps you give an unique look to your photographs.
